I ran an nslookup on the client from the client and from the master
server and they were identical but when I ran an nslookup on the master
server from the client and the master server they did not match. So then
this may be the problem. I will look into this and see if matching them
up fixes the issue, thanks for your help.

We've seen this a few times recently - check the forward and reverse
resolutions. If there are any DNS issues, NetBackup really does get
upset. Use fully qualified names throughout and make sure you're not
using default domains.
