To do restores of expired tapes you need import the tapes to create the
catalog informations again. The import is made in two phases, you can found
this phases at the veritas support site and on the NetBackup administrator's
guide.

Hi all,
 
We have some problems and we need to restore some backups which were expired
and we don't have the backup ids but Iam sure that these backups were not
overwritten on tapes. I'd like to know it possible and if so how to do it.
our netbackup version in 5.1 enterprise server running on hpux master
server.
