Yes, client binaries are installed on the master
(/usr/openv/netbackup/client/Linux/RedHat2.4/ and its not empty). I also
tried swapping Linux & RedHat2.4 for Hardware & OS, and I even tried using
Linux & 2.6.9-34.ELsmp for hardware & OS respectively

Thanks
Sami

Hi Guys

I am having a client running with Linux RedHat 2.4 (with NBU client 6.0
mp2) and I need to upgrade it to NBU 6.0 mp3. I am using 'update_clients'
command providing Linux as hardware and RedHat2.4 as OS, but the process is
failing with following error

Cannot update client clientname
Invalid hardware type "Linux" and/or operating system "RedHat2.4" or client
binaries are not installed on the server

Client binaries are installed, that leaves with either Hardware or OS
detail is wrong or may be is it something with RedHat4 (I can pushout
client software on Solaris successfully)

Anyone had any success using update_client command for Linux clients?
Please reply to me and I'll summarise

Thanks in advance
Sami Abdul
