Ayaz
If you configure a LTO3 drive to read LTO2 or write to them, then yes,
Netbackup will use an LTO3 drive to read or write an LTO3 drive.

Configure the drive properties under your host for more details :-)

But I can confirm 100% I have configured 2 LTO3 drives to read LTO1 tapes
:-)

Greetings

HI Guys !

Theoretically its possible to read and write LTOII media in LTO III drives.
My question is that weather media defined as hcartII can be read/write in
hcartIII drives ?

If I have a library with mix LTO II and LTO III drives and media for both
types available, what is the best practice in using that.

Thanks

Ayaz
