Ok, so it sounds like you are using NBU to do the cleanings. ;o)

Yes, then regular barcodes will work.

Do you have a default setting for cleanings? Depending on the drive type
you can get more or less cleanings from a tape...could be from 15 to 50,
depending on the drive type. I think it's close to 50 for LTO3.

You want to set this in NBU so when you put in a new cleaning tape, you
don't have to remember to go in and set the number of cleanings.

If you already had a deault set in Netbackup, and they were all showing
0, then it sounds like they were used up.

Granted, I think I've used up maybe 1 or 2 tapes, set at 25 cleanings in
each of my LTO2/LTO3 libraries in 2 years.
