As a TEST, can you configure the Catalog Backups to try another tape and see
if it runs to this tape?

I just installed NB 6.0. When I was trying to configure offline catalog 
backup to use a tape (id=000190), I got the following error:
        "media id is not in Netbackup volume pool" (status 178)

However the id was indeed in the "CatalogBackup" pool. In fact vmquery 
reports:
