Hi

When replace tape drive follow this procedure to configure new drive.

  1. Find old tape drive serial number
  # vmglob -listall -b | grep "drivename" (drivename =STK9940B_01115_1)

  2. Delete drive from vmd.
  # vmglob -delete -drive -serial 479000018436

  3. Now configure new tape drive
  option-1 run followiing command
  # tpautoconf -a

  option -2 Add manualy

  # tpconfig -add -drive -multihost yes -asciiname <asciidrvname> -altname
<drive_path> -type hcart2 -robot <rob_num> -robtype acs -ACS <acsnum> -LSM
<lsmnum> -PANEL <panelnum> -robdrnum <drivenum>
