The path is correct, but I suggest you to stay in 5.1 for a few months.
5.1 is more stable than 6.0. Wait at least until MP5. 
Before you do the final step (5.1 ? 6.0) ask from Veritas support to check the 
consistency of netbackup catalog

You must run the command to convert the images to binary at 4.5. I think that 
the upgrade from 4.5 to 5.1 is converting the images, but I?m not sure.
