For windows, I don't think I have :-)
If your trying to backup SQL and NBU attempts to capture these files (.mdb),
it will create a status 1

So you can investigate, and if applicable, exclude them :-)

You clearly need to be sure what you exclude has NO impact in the event of a
Restore, or importantly, a DR scenario!

You have points 1 and 2 reversed. 

If you exclude files without determining their relevance to your 
business, your job and your business are at unnecessary risk. :-(

Status code 1 is better than nothing, not success. ;-)
