Netbackup cannot write the VSP temp files to the same disk it is in the
process of backing up, so it picks another random disk on the system.
That is why you are seeing the temp file on the disk you have excluded.
You can force VSP to use a specific disk if you want, but you will not
be able to back up that disk using VSP.
IIRC, (Don't have GUI in front of me) you can do it through the Client
Attributes part of the GUI.
also, if you want to minimize the occurance of these files being left
hanging around after a backup, reference the following technote:
(ignore the part about the required reboot, and reference the second
technote for that.)

Guys,
After we upgrade from NBU 4.5 MP9 to 5.1 MP4 we're having some problems
with MS Windows clients and big VSP files.
Did anyone have this problem with version 5.1 MP4?
I also saw that some drives that are in the exclude list generate VSP
files. Is it correct?
If I disable the generation of VSP, Will I lose the open files backups
such as windows registry files?
