First few things I would do is:
 
Disable any Anti Virus
Turn off ANY disk I/O software that may be running - ie: diskkeeper
Turn off any services that should not be running
disable VSS on the Master Server for the client.
 
Thats what I would try as a first step

I am new to Netbackup so please forgive me for "the stupid questions" ;-)

i have the following configuration:

Netbackup 5.1 Mp3 Master/Media server on windows 2003, a tape library
attached to it via a SCSI port. 
Netbackup 5.1 mp3 Client on a cluster exchange 2003 server.
client / server are connected on LAN environment.

Recenty i am facing a strange behaviour.
the data transfer rate is in kb/sec during a backup job is decreased from
5000/7000 kb/sec to 500/700 kb/sec. 

i have checked several times Master/Media server  and Client properies but i
was not able to find any solution on this.

Any idea on solving this issue will be very helpfull for me.
