To move media between libraries, it's a two step process. Remove media
from first library - inventory, then insert media into new library, inventory
again.

The default behavior of Netbackup is to restore a file on the media server on
which it was backed up.

My favorite method to do this is to transfer the image information for those
tapes to the other media server using the bpmedia command. This will allow the
other media server to perform the data restore.

  bpmedia -movedb -m <tapenum> -oldserver <svr_name> -newserver <svr_name>

  Then restore as usual.

  Good Luck - M

Subject: [Veritas-bu] Restore at different storage Unit

  Hi Gurus,
I have a challenge from my boss to restore data between 2 storage unit.
My environement, I have 1 master server ( using solaris 8 ) and 1 media
server ( windows 2000 ) server.
Master Server connect with IBM Anaconda using 6 LTO-1 tape drives
Media server have ADIC I2K using 4 LTO-2 tape drives.
My challence is can I restore my data from backup at IBM Anaconda, and
restore it with ADIC I2K
Today I try to do it but , when I run inventory robot at media server I got
this messagge below.
Maybe some one who experience with this situation, could share to me
