RHEL 4 is not supported as a BMR client yet. RH 3 or SuSE 8 are the
only clients supported with BMR right now. The BMR dev team is catching
up on proliferations now. You will see them come out in MPs. AIX 5.3
support is now in MP2. Solaris 10 and VsFST 4.1 will be in MP3, RHEL 4
and SuSE 9 will probably be in MP4.

They are actually working as fast as they can. (This work is more than
a re-compile - BMR because it has to know how to capture the
information about the system and then re-create the file systems, boot
loader, and boot image.)=20

I just patched my master and media with MP2 and did a test backup of a
Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4 system I've been working with. Before, we
did not get a BMR-recognizable backup, finished with error 1. Digging
through the All Log Entries for the client on the original BMR Backup
revealed some odd errors. But when I ran the same policy again this
morning with MP2, I found this line in the All Log Entries:

=20

3/29/2006 10:12:30 AM hobbes flattop Warning 14176 Backup BMR client
version not supported

I've searched the README for MP2, but didn't find anything with respect
to this error.

=20

Suggestions?

Thanks,

Jason
