> Scenario:
> We have a legacy of LTO cartridges created/written on LTO1 tape drives.
> (referred to herein as LTO1 media)
Are they in fact LTO1 cartridges?
> The LTO1 tape drives have been replaced with LTO2 drives.
>
> Question:
> When the LTO1 media is written to by the LTO2 drives - will it be at the
> new density or the old density ?
LTO1 media can be used in an LTO2 drive, but only at LTO1 (100/200)
densities.
You must have both LTO2 drives and LTO2 media to support the higher
(200/400) density.
