Pat,

As long as you're are using the same Master/Media servers and your tape
library drives can be seen from the media server doing the restore, you
should only have to re-inventory library 1 and 2. This will sync your
volume database on all the servers.

Subject: [Veritas-bu] Restore tape is being requested on the wrong tape
library

=20

I have a restore that is requesting 6 tapes, the 1st tape is loaded from
tape library 2 and runs fine then the second tape gets requested from
tape library 2 also even though the second tape is in tape library 1.
The tape may have been in that library at one time but it is now in our
off-site library(tape library 1) and the following commands verify that
is in the off-site library. Everything shows robot 1 has tape S00054.=20

=20

Any ideas how I can make this restore look for each tape in its correct
library?

=20

Thanks for any help.

The admin GUI shows it in slot 154 of robot "1" =20

vmquery -m xxxxxxx =20

bpmedialist -m xxxxxxx
