Hello all,
=20
I was curious how people are tracking moves of filesystems. =20
=20
For example, let's say /export/home resides on serverA, then serverA is
decommissioned and replaced by serverB.
=20
Two years later, the new administrator assigned to backups has to
restore a file from /export/home, but isn't aware that it used to reside
on serverA and therefore doesn't see any backups listed because he/she
entered serverB as the client.
=20
So, the question is how are people tracking the moves....Excel
spreadsheets?
=20
Any info is appreciated.
