It is the file for the duplication process for duplicating the DSSU images
to tape.
 
If they are clearing themselves, then your DSSU are not working correctly.

Could anybody tell me what is the purpose of a file referencing a disk
storage unit in /usr/openv/netbackup. The files are named
bid_file_DiskStorUnitName.
