NetBackup does not have this function mostly because it is not really
required. NetBackup places images on a tape with the same retention
until the tape is full. You should have very little partially used
tapes because the images will expire very close in time. However, if
you eject tapes often and they are not full then you could see low
utilization. If you really need to do this you can use vault to
duplicate the tapes and it does a consolidation during the duplication
process.=20

Does anyone know of a way to move images from one tape to another? I
guess I am asking is there a way to do Tape Reclaimation similar to TSM?

Thanks,

Mike Wigington
