I don't think I said to do it over the Network?
Ok, if the backup is not running on the Node, do you get any status error
messages?

What if you uninstall / reinstall the client software and possibly create a
new backup policy for the node that secondary node?

Maybe MP5 will help..... As you said.... Bit of a knife edge scenario, which
is why we do not go to anything new / unsure of until its been in production
for 6 - 12 months.

X64 may sound all good, but when it comes to it... May be more trouble than
its worth.

No, that option was not available.  I personally have never seen that
question asked.  I have installed on regular Win2k3 Exchange and SQL
clusters and never seen that question, and they work perfectly.

For the x64 client, the release notes specifically say that the install
cannot be done over the network.  Each system has to be installed one at a
time, locally.
