Hi Everyone
I was maintaining the frozen tapes in the VM DB and found a tape that had no
images on it. The tape was assigned to a pool, but does not appear to have
been used.
I went to move to the scratch and went to re-label the tape (so it can be
seen as a fresh tape) but I get the following message in Activity Monitor
log.
05/01/2006 14:49:04 - begin Label
05/01/2006 14:49:04 - started process bplabel (3928)
05/01/2006 14:49:04 - mounting 7316L3
05/01/2006 14:49:46 - mounted; mount time: 00:00:42
05/01/2006 14:49:50 - expected media 7316L3; found NetBackup media
05/01/2006 14:49:50 - end Label; elapsed time: 00:00:46
media manager found wrong tape in drive(93)
I can only think that someone before me may have used this tape, but I
cannot recall any command to tell NBU 5.1 to treat as a new tape. It
beleives (from what I am reading) it contains netbackup media information on
the tape.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Simon
