Hi Kristopher
Thanks for the answers. I would like to confirm the answer about PHASE 2
please?
The client in question has 7 tapes. I have imported all 7 as PHASE 1, which
is now ok.

As I have 7 images to do for Phase 2, and as all the tapes are in the Robot,
are you saying I can only do an IMAGE at a time?
Thanks

Guys
As you may recall, I ended up in a dire problem where NBU 5.1 expired all
tapes!
Through LITTLE help of Veritas, I ended up with my own plan of action!

I am in the process of importing tapes - hopefully not going to be too many!

I need confirmation of the following steps to know if I am doing this right
or wrong

1) PHASE 1 of the Import - I have 4 tape drives now available. Any reason
why I cannot kick off 4 PHASE 1 imports and use all tape drives? Yes, I
recently had to do this across 20 drives and it worked great.

2) PHASE 2 of the IMPORT. As many client span multiple tapes, its my
understanding that I must do PHASE 1 on ALL Tapes for this client before
doing Phase 2. Is there ANY reason why I cannot use all 4 tape drives for
the PHASE 2 import? You can use all 4 drives to do DIFFERENT phase 2
imports for different clients, but not the same. So if you have a phase 2
that has 4 tapes, you can't run a phase 2 from all 4 of those tapes at once.

I have a client that has 7 tapes. I intend to do PHASE1 first, and then
PHASE2. If I can speed this process up and NOT cause damage to the Database
I would like to use all tape drives where possible to speed the process up!

PLease, if anyone has any opinions, please post on the list?

Thanks
