Search back through the archives. 

This very same topic has been talked about the past few weeks. General
consensus is that this can NOT be done easily, if at all. It definitely
is not supported by Symantec/Veritas

Hi all,
We need to move our master server to the another hardware. The crucial
thing Is that we also need to change the original hostname to the
another one.
I have done moving operation but in that case the hostname was the same
as the old one.
However, in this situation, the hostname will also be different. 
Could you please help for the procedure.
