Yes. You may have to increase the timeouts.
Backing up NFS mounts should ordinarily be discouraged.
It is better to backup at the source.
However, I have done NFS mount backups 
in order to be able to backup data 
that resides on servers that are NOT NetBackup clients.

is it possible to backup NFS mounted directories ???

I've  been trying to do this, but it always returns error 41 (time out),
and no data is backed up ...
