you need to skip the media header ... so it would be mt fsf 1
/dev/nrmt/whatever (note that you MUST use the no-rewind device -
otherwise it fastforwards and instantly rewinds)... except this is
windows and I don't know the equivalent of mt or the tape drive device
to give the recommendation on what to do. Once you're positioned on
the image, tar xvf would do it - you might need to do something to set
the extract directory as well, so it doesn't start overwriting from /
