You can have different exclude lists defined by policy or schedule.

For example you could have the following:

exclude_list                (exclude list for host)
exclude_list.policy_name    (exclude list for policy on host)
exclude_list.policy_name.schedule.name (exclude list for schedule of
policy on host).

The more specific exclude lists override the generic ones.  Reference
the UNIX Admin Guide I.

Ok I have a need to create 2 policies for a UNIX server. One that
backups up basic system files and the other that backups up SOX data.
These need to have different retentions and different schedules. But
here is the problem. I need to exclude files from the system files
backups  but include them in the SOX backup. Is there a way to exclude
files on a policy basis instead of by server?
