I'm doing it all the time. My adv is afrer the copy of the catalog delete the 
file ltidevs and  the robot def file.Then start netbackup services and move 
logicaly all tapes to standalone. Then run a configuration qizard and an 
inventory

I am upgrading hardware and would like to know if you canrecover a 4.5
FP7a catalog directly to a server that has a fresh install of 5.1MP3a, or
do I have to install 4.5 FP7a and then upgrade from there.


The hostname is going to remain the same, and the installdirectories will
be the same as well.


This is going from a Windows 2000 SP4 box to a Windows 2003box, same tape
hardware, well for now, and then I am going to add a STK SL500.


I spoke with support about this, and they stated it could bedone, and
everything should just work, but I would like to see if anyone elsehas
done this before, and if there are any gotchas that I should look out for.
