I get it using Microsoft VSS as well. (the 156 error).
 It's every couple of nights.  Veritas pointed me to
http://seer.support.veritas.com/docs/276739.htm
which basically says I might be running out of space,
but I don't think that is the problem.  Any way, just
wanted to let you know it's not just VSP that causes
the 156's.
