My master sits on 3 different subnets, and thus 3 different DNS names. The two
non-primary subnets have manual routes set up on the master to get to that
network (otherwise it will respond on the default and it won't match the name
set up in the client).
Then every client on these non-primary subnets reference the other DNS names
for the master. The bpcd/bprd logs and routing tables are the prime source of
troubleshooting to make sure all the names/routes are correct.

Subject: [Veritas-bu] Could I Configure Netbackup Master Server to
response with 2 diferent network address?
Hi dears,
Could I configure Netbackup Master Server to response with 2 IP´s diferent
network address?
Remembering: The 2 networks are not communicated.
But, the NBU Master Server is configured in bp.conf to response with name
sp1bkpclusx01 at 10.128.251.3.
All client´s I'm using the parameter REQUIRED_INTERFACE in bp.conf as the
network backup interface installed in client server.
Example the error:
When the start backup of the client (10.128.3.10/24) the NBU Master tries to
connect for IP address 10.128.251.3/24. I verified this problem through the
command netstat -an.
Bellow, ifconfig output the NBU Master Server:
hme0: flags=1000843<UP,BROADCAST,RUNNING,MULTICAST,IPv4> mtu 1500 index 2
inet 10.128.3.8 netmask ffffff00 broadcast 10.128.3.255
ether 0:0:e:25:2d:cd
mpnet0: flags=1000863<UP,BROADCAST,NOTRAILERS,RUNNING,MULTICAST,IPv4> mtu
1500 index 3
inet 10.128.251.3 netmask ffffff00 broadcast 10.128.251.255
ether 0:0:e:25:2d:cd
