Question-

=20

I have another backup server (SunOS 5.8/Veritas 4.5MP6) attached to an
L80 and for some reason, after several hours (7-8hrs) usually, the
backups will freeze.

=20

I load the Admin Console and check the Activity Monitor and the KB/s and
KB backed up do *NOT* change.

=20

Using bp.kill_all and then netbackup starting the server back up resumes
all processes as usual, until they all freeze again in seven to eight
hours.

=20

Has anyone had such a problem with Veritas NetBackup before?

=20

If so, what is the proper path to resolution?

=20

Would completely wiping out the installation be the best solution and
installing 5.1?

=20

Or is there an easier way to diagnose the problem and fix it without
completely re-installing?

=20

Thanks,

=20

Justin.
