I just ran into this recently, but does it appear to hang at a point? I
needed to unmount a file system, fsck it, and remount. Everything went
back to normal after that. The error I was getting was a 41 on that
problem. It does not seem that well related.

=20

Sorry I do not have more...

I am sure you have gone here, but...

        =20

Check the /etc/nsswitch.conf to see your name lookup precedence.

        =20

Just like all the other clients:

        hosts: files dns
        =20

Check file permissions within /usr/openv. Saying it cannot write
to STDOUT implies some sort of permission-related issue.=20

        =20

        Everything appears fine.

I just created the log dirs in /usr/openv/netbackup/logs on the
client, and ran a manual FULL.

Backed up 7 gigs of data fairly quickly, and the last hour or
so, it has been stuck at 7219844 kbytes and 11800 files written.

In the past, it has done anywhere from 200 Meg to 2.5 gig before
freezing up like this....then it hangs there for hours till it fails
with 40 or 24.

Currently the CLIENT=3D is set ot eh FQDN, so it should fail with
a 40.

        =20

I have seen this error come across this list before, but I
cannot remember what was done/how it was fixed. Sorry...=20

        =20

        Thanks anyway. :o(

This machine is also being backed up using vnetd ("No Connect
back" is activated)

but so are dozens of other machines, with no problem.

        =20
