All,

We have several boxes on the other side of firewalls. The windows boxes ba=
ck up fine, but the Solaris boxes can not complete a communication. What I =
mean is: I can bpdir -M Solaris box, and the sniffers show traffic, but I g=
et no information back from the Solaris box. If I telnet to the bpcd port i=
t connects and sometimes will disconnect after a return or two (normal), bu=
t sometimes I have to ctrl/C it. If I try to get the client information fr=
om the GUI, I get a cannot connect on socket, error. The master server from=
which I am trying to connect is a Windows 2000 server, the Solaris box is =
running Solaris 8 and both are running NetBackup 5.1MP2. ANY suggestions, h=
elp, etc. will be greatly appreciated.

Regards,

Patrick Whelan
