I'd suggest your best way is vmoprcmd.  It might be easier to parse if you
limit it to "vmoprcmd -d ds", if that helps at all.

What is the easiest way to check if a tape (MediaID) is currently mounted in

to drive and in use.

So far I tried:
vmoprcmd -d - requires too much filtering.
tldtest - conflict if two or more persons are using at the same time.

And they do not fit very much for a scripting purposes.
