filesystem having lots (10's of millions) of small files or not. For
example, with our F840, a qtree with 24 million files but only 120GB
but it takes up to 30.5 hours to complete (~1.2MB/sec). Other qtrees
seem to stream our drives nicely ( ~9.3 MB/sec with AIT 2), which is,
of course, is nothing compared with LTO. Overall load will also
impact performance to a pretty good extent.
I've also noticed that backups with our R200 will bottleneck on the
5400 RPM ATA disks. :-( This may partially have something to do with
other activity though.
