[Veritas-bu] NBU failover master server in Linux
2005-01-20 19:30:06
we have a failover server setup, using Solaris 9 and 2 Sun-V880's. We
decided not to use cluster software, but to write/run a manual script for
failover purposes. We have had too many problems with cluster software,
either with one node dropping out of the cluster, or not failing over
properly so we went the manual route. This infrastructure has been in place
for over 6 months now. We have had to fail over only a few times and it
worked flawlessly.

Subject: [Veritas-bu] NBU failover master server in Linux
Hi all:
We want to deploy a small size backup infrastructure. We are going to
use Linux (RHEL 3; maybe RHEL 4 if it's mature and supported by Veritas
in near time). In the project I have in mind, there's a failover cluster
master server, and I want to know if is there somebody that has
implemented this already in Linux.
¿What kind of cluster software are you using: VxCS+VxFS, RedHat Cluster
suite, other?
I'd apreciate any hint and experience.
Regards.
