Hi Tim
Thanx....
I have not tried verifying the data..
I was able to restore from new Tapes we ordered.
The Tape Drives are COMPAQ SDLT320 and tape Library HP MSL 5000 series
OS : Redhat Enterprise Linux AS 3.0
NBU : Veritas Netbackup Enterprise 5.1
I am not sure about how to check the Tape Driver version and block size
netbackup uses while writing onto
and reading from tapes.

but the File System block size is 4096..

The /var/log/messages shows below errors whenever we try to restores...

First things first, what does the bptm log say? And what does the syslog
say?

Can you perform a verify on the data?

Have you ever been able to restore?

What kind of drives? OS? NBU Version? Tape driver version?

What block size are you using?
