I recently upgraded from NB4.5_FP6 to NB50_MP3
I just noticed that the job.conf isn't being used anymore??
The values that I have used since NB3.4 are not being referenced.
I searched ALL NB5.0 pdf's including the Release Notes but did not find
"job.conf" in any document.

I did find a reference that job.conf would not be supported in future
releases in a technote by searching "Data Center" Knowledge Base..
http://seer.support.veritas.com/docs/248983.htm
<http://seer.support.veritas.com/docs/248983.htm>
Note 1: Prior to 4.5, the /usr/openv/netbackup/db/jobs/job.conf file was
used to configure the length of time NetBackup retains jobs in the Activity
Monitor. To ease the transition from NetBackup 3.4 to 4.5, the job.conf file
can still be used; valid job.conf entries are: keep_days, keep_hours,
keep_successful_days and keep_successful_hours. However, support for
job.conf will be removed in a future NetBackup release.

It would have been nice if this Note was put into the Release Notes.

Worthwhile hint.
When using the "Knowledge Base Search" check both Enterprise AND Data Center
search engines. I found the job.conf notice in the Data Center Knowledge
Base.
