I see that the tir should be stopped and that the incrementals should be
cumulative.
I only want one copy of each file on these special backups.
Normal system fulls get these every week but do not have the very long
retention.

My confusion is that the error message states the file is missing.  
The file does exist and the permissions match all the others of the same
flavor.

Are we in trouble because this is backed up during our 'full' and 'archive'
policies ??

For that policy, Deiter Scott doesn't want TIR at all. After all, if
files never get deleted, there's no point in doing the TIR work - a
restore of the full plus the latest incremental will get him exactly
what he wants.  There would have been no files deleted between the full
and incremental and that's what TIR would have helped with.
