Garo,
We are in in a W2k and W2k3 environment running NB 4.5 and 5.0. I believe
you must login to the host of the SQL db or client, click on the NetBackup
MS SQL Clients which should prompt you for a login name that has access to
the SQL DB that you are backing up. Also verify that the same media-master
server that is performing the file system backup is also performing the SQL
backup. If not, check the client properties under Host Properties and add
the name of the media server in the Server Names tab (5.0). 4.5 has a
different tab for this but it is under the Host Properties still....

Subject: [Veritas-bu] SQL backup
Hi,
I did a new installation for SQL online backup. The file backup of the SQL
server works without any problem. The SQL online backup of the same server
gives an error. In the logs the error appears to be something like "the
server is actively refusing the connection". If I start the backup from the
client side the backup server can not even understand it. Does anybody have
any idea?
Thanks in advance,
Garo
