Hi,

The environment is

4 clusters (active-passive windows 2003) which are configured as 1 master
cluster and 3 SAN media server clusters, the library is a DELL Pv136T
hosting 6 IBM LTO2

All media at present are being read as 0234L2 instead of DF0234. I saw the
technote and added the MEDIA_ID_BARCODE_CHARS to the vm.conf on under volmgr
on the active node of backup server. The media was still being read as
0234L2.

I am using remote desktop to make the changes. Is there a vm.conf on all
media server nodes under volmgr, I check this system and there isn't one

Regards

Imran

Imran

This vm.conf entry is supposed to be on the master server.
I have had problems and fixed them by putting the same entry in vm.conf on
the media servers and the admin console (if thats where your doing the robot
inventory from)

Regards

Tony
