When I get this I check to see if the activity monitor daemon is running
(bpjobd), if not I start it. (you will have to nohup it). Most times the
system is too busy and the gui down't get a reply quick enough. You can
also use th bpdbjobs command to get the same iformation.

Good morning!
I've been having a problem all weekend while trying to check on my
backups through the Java Admin Console. I get an error that: Activity
Monitor Failed and must be restarted. To recover, first correct the problem
described below and then select Refresh. Connection Refused.
This is when I log in to the Master server (Solaris 7). I can do other
things that need doing, like access the media, etal. But I really need to
be able to tell if my backups were successful over the weekend. Status of
Backups Report seems to be missing a lot of data (I'm still playing around
with it).
Anyone know what may have caused this, and what I need to do to get it
repaired?
