On the robot controlled host you can use (use this only when the silo is=20
not busy)

/usr/openv/volmgr/bin/robtest

Select the robot.

m s(slot number) d(drive number)
e.g=20

m s124 d1

To move it back to the slot

unload d(drive number)
e.g.

unload d1

m d(drive number) s(slot number)
.e.g.

m d1 s124

Make sure you exit out of robtest after you are done.

Good luck

Fuad Khalid

Hi,
=20
I am noivce to Netbackup. I need to be able to mount a tape media to a=20
specific drive in a robot via UNIX command. tpreq does not allow me to do=20
that.
=20
Please advise how this can be done. (I know the robot type and drive=20
number)
=20
Thanks
Chee Wai

=20
How about "down-ing" the other drives while you do the load and then "up"=20
them again?
=20
Good Luck!
=20
Richard.
