    Hi,
=20
In a clustered environment you should configure the bakcup using the
virtual cluster name. Before you run the script try do a backup using =
the
NetBackup Database Client Graphical interface to know if the =
configuration
is correct. To allow restores in cluster environment you shold create in =
the
master server the file <install_path>/netbackup/db/No.Restrictions to =
allow
unrestricted restore privileges or <install_path>/netbackup/db/<HostA> =
with
the HostB name to allow redirected restore privilege of HostA to HostB.
In the Veritas NetBackup for MS SQL Server System Adminstrator guide =
has
procedures to configure the SQL backup.

Assunto: [Veritas-bu] SQL backup\restore errors

Hi,=20

=20

We have a version 5.1 environment with 2003 clustered backup server and
three sets of clustered SAN media servers. One of the SAN media server
clusters host SQL server.=20

=20

When using the $ALL parameter in .BCH file the backup fails with none of =
the
file specified were found (5). When editing the .BCH to explicitly list =
each
database by name it works

=20

However when trying to use the NetBackup Client extension GUI to browse =
the
restore it displays the following two errors

=20

"Error encountered trying to read db image" followed by "you have =
received
this error if you do not have access rights the backup images created =
for
SQLclientname"=20

=20

=20

Can anyone advise?

=20

Kind Regards,

=20

Imran Khan
