Hi there
We have some scheduling issues on a SUN master server - I have a
question or two and hope that someone will be able to assist?
- What command do I use to see what is scheduled for i.e. today?
- What do I do to see whether a backup policy is automated for
scheduling?
- What command do I run(command line or GUI) to automate a policy for a
certain schedule i.e. daily?
- What command do I run to check all my policies that is using a
mediaserver ABC if I have 20 mediaservers?
Thanx in advance
Winnie

Hello all. If I want to manually expire a tape that was used for a 7
year backup, does that reset the retention level? How can I reset the
retention level to our default of 4 weeks?

Thanks,
Taylor

Subject: [Veritas-bu] Synthetic Fulls for Netware
Hello all,
I apologize if this question has been asked previously. I have
documentation on NetBackup 5.0 features and it states that in 5.0,
Synthetic Fulls are only supported for Standard type polices. All our
NetWare policies are configured as Standard, so can I assume Synthetic
Fulls will work with NetWare?
If not, does anyone know if an upcoming release will support Synthetic
Fulls for NetWare?
Thanks in advance.

Retention levels are tied to the IMAGES backed up NOT the tape. If a
media is expired and then put back into service - then the retention
period of the new image(s) is what will be used.
