I'm not aware of any NAS server that will allow an NDMP restore to a
Windows host. It can be done with Unix depending on the NAS server
used. NetApp, for example, simply uses dump to backup data. So all
that's needed to restore to a Unix host is to forward to the beginning
header of the dump and do a restore (actual command).

But for Windows I'm aware of nothing like that.

        Hello,
        =20
in theory I would assume that one can restore files/directories
from a NDMP backup to a WIndows client share.
Can some one confirm this ?
        =20
        Thanks,
