Hello folks,

We're trying to figure out why a restore is running at about 50KB/s as
apposed to the normal 5-8MB/s we are used to seeing.

The restore is from one image on one tape.
We are in a Sun environment, using an STK L700 with DLT7000 drives.
We use a multiplex setting of 3 on this robot.
There is no other activity besides this one restore on the media server or
the client being restored to.
No iowait on either system.
CPU utilization is hardly being touched on either system.
No network collisions. Both servers are set to 100 Full.

We have no idea why this restore is so SLOW.

Any helpful hints for what to check?

Thanks,

Kevin Denton
