Have you looked at the "bpduplicate" command?  This has a "preview" mode
that does just what you want?

I have a full backup of a data set that spanned several servers and was
created about a month ago.  Management has requested that a duplicate copy
be made and sent offsite.  Does someone have a script that will identify the
media used for a given backup and a way to duplicate the tapes?  The backup
was a mpx and I am running NBU 4.5.  Thanks in advance for any help you can
give.
