What OS?
I'd suspect, since I've done this to myself, that "mail -s '<blah blah
blah>'" should be "mailx -s '<blah blah blah>'"
mailx on solaris supports a subject line while mail does not.
For linux, there is no mailx so you have to use "mail" and the linux "mail"
allows a subject line.

Subject: [Veritas-bu] No subject line in email notifications
Does anyone know what might be causing my netbackup email notifications to
be coming through without the subject line? I'm using the
/usr/openv/netbackup/bin *notification* scripts. Anyone else seen this one
?
Thank you
