You probably want the backup_exit_notify script in ../netbackup/bin on the
master server.

# This script:
# receives 5 parameters:
# CLIENT - the client hostname
# POLICY - the policy label
# SCHEDULE - the schedule label
# SCHEDULE_TYPE - the type of schedule: FULL INCR UBAK UARC
# STATUS - the backup status for this job
# STREAM - the backup stream number for this job

You can check the status for success/fail and make a custom lookup for
policy & schedule if you want.

I'm looking for a way to execute a script after each successful or
failed backup..

I know that the backup_notify scripts exist, but even if a backup fails,
that script claims that it was fine... Is there an easy way to do this? I'd
like to use something like this in conjunction with net-snmpd to send traps
back to our monitoring system....

on a side note, what happened to
