I've only recently taken over Netbackup and was thinking of consolidating
everything into  a Global policy witht the odd exceptions based on retention
needs.
 
Have I missed something here?
 
25 Unix servers (ordinary Solaris and Oracle) and about the same Windows
2000.
 
NBU 5.0 MP3 as of 12 September.

140 policies, 25 for Unix/Windows, the rest are for various Oracle DBs (two
per instance).
 
This is down from more-than 250 policies after a big consolidation effort.

Hey all,

I'm just trying to get a quick idea of how many policies most people have on
their master server compared to mine.  The NBU environment where I work
contains 438 individual policies for 1 master server.  Does this sound high
to most people?  I think we're going to consolidate some but was wondering
what the count was elsewhere.
