I use it, it works.
Yes, the interface is sucky if you ask me.

I have had minor problems, but the real benefit for me
which great is that if you have a 70GB database, you
can easily back it up.  Before I had to have enough
local disk space to dump the output, then back it up. 
This combines the two into one step, reducing disk
space requirements and time.  It also allows the
restore to be directed to another machine, without
having to dump the entire file elswhere (again needing
local space) and then load it in, only to delete the
unnecessary backup file.

If you don't need this feature, I'm not sure why you
would need it.
